Here at GRUB we know that we have a big responsibility to run our business as sustainably as possible. We still have a long way to go and know that there is so much more we could be doing, but below are a few steps we have taken over the years to improve the sustainability of our business.

🌱We strive to be a vegan-friendly venue only stocking vegan drinks on the bar and asking traders to bring tasty meat-free dishes
❌We promise never to use patio heaters in our garden as they are very inefficient and can contribute to local levels of air pollution
♻️We aim to build our furniture and venue infrastructure using mostly recycled materials and choose second-hand items wherever possible
🚙We use local suppliers for our bar and most of the drinks we sell are made in Manchester or nearby. We have removed wines that were travelling the greatest distances to get to us from our wine list
🧴We choose eco-friendly cleaning products to keep our venue spick and span
🍴We do not allow food traders to bring plastic or polystyrene consumables and encourage them to use compostable alternatives
🐝Our gardeners aim to create a space that is attractive to bees and insects
🚲You can lock your bike up in our garden with our bike racks that were kindly provided to us by our friends at Pop Up Bikes
